Running helps me.....

not only that I (feel) physically fit, but it plays a huge role in fixing up my brain.  Oh no, I'm not going insane!

Running is my favorite workout.  I have been running all time since I wanted to be skinny like some of my friends are.  But having this to be my favorite now didn't come easy. I start on a program because of someone I was inspired from - for instance seeing how a lady looks good on her top and jeans because she is skinny.

But, that used to be just a start and never gets the desired result I want so I stop.  Then on and on.

I was like a kid who looks for an outright prize or immediate reward on whatever I do.  If I don't see a good result out of my effort for a week or two of exhausting and sweating myself, I get tired and withdraw. I was impatient and never did serious on putting much effort into my work out / running program.

But then again, this should not rule me out forever.  I had to let my will and discipline be involved in weeding out my negative vibes and being pessimistic and work hard on something I want to achieve.

Gladly, it is working on me!  It's been three months that I have been following my program and I can see good result of it, somehow.  I lose 5 kgs in three months.  Well, not maybe a big achievement for a three-month hard work but it's still a remarkable result that I can consider. I still grab my weekend cravings anyway.

And oh, yes, running helps me keep my sanity intact! lol! I can constructively and wildly think on anything.  This is the venue where my imagination works better and without realizing it, I am already onto execution of something out from that imagination.  Don't you think it's healthy? I do!

Much Love - xxx!

A Lazy Outfit On A Monday

I have been putting on a lot of time working out lately.  Oh no, I am not obssessed to have such a model-like figure and skinny image every woman would want to!  I love my curves (lol) and am happy on it.  I just need to trim down some belly (baby) fats wanting for a flat tummy ;)

And since this working out thing eats my time a lot, I have to compromise doing other stuff.  One is in preparing my work outfit for the next day.

Ain't obvious how these photos speak for that?  Effortlessly prepared and a lazy outfit indeed :(  Sorry folks, I am just trying to show here the development on my work outs :)

Need more try's on the curls ;)

My Lifestyle - Part 1

So let's talk about healthy lifestyle (*wink).  Or I'd rather say, let me just share what sort of lifestyle do I follow if it could be classified as healthy.

Ok, ok I need not to deny my age.  I just turned 30!  30 and 2 months to be exact. Yes, I'm no longer a kid which means I have to be conscious a little bit more now on health than what I used to be when I was just in my 20's. I was not bothered about anything.  Did everyone else does during this stage?  I was young and carefree and happy-go-lucky kid at that time. But this has changed now.  How powerful time can change us.  I realized this time should be the beginning of new life, healthy, better life to enjoy.

It may not easy to start a new undertaking leaving behind all what you used to do.  But for me, I did it simple.  Setting a goal on what I want to become, discipline and determination are my key to prosper - on anything I'd like to achieve.

This is what I want, so this is what I should do. Say, I wanna feel fresh to wake up in the morning for work, so I sleep early (*wink) - seriously. I don't wanna gain more than 50kgs, so I work out and have proper diet (I've got some weight management stuff I follow too ;-))

So what I take in for my diet?  I am vegetarian and gave up eating pork for 7 years now.  Beef doesn't have appeal on me too.  I drink a lot of water, fruit juice and fresh milk.  I eat a lot of fruits too.  Junkies are 'no' to me.  I am not a chocolate baby or for anything sweet.  Of course I don't smoke.  I drink on socials - I think this could be an excuse for the heart? (*wink) What else? Ohh, don't misjudge on my nerdy-look.  This is the effect of being a studios kid and prolonged contact in front of the computer.

And by the way, how does my newly-acquired booties look?  This was in my shoplist for almost 2 months and how amazing it is to have that 70% price cut deal from F21!  Who am I to refuse the offer?

It transpires that I need to have a continuation of this post.  Sure I will do that, so stay tuned.

Boring Lifestyle? I don't think so!

Lettuce, Tuna and Eggs – my must-have foodies for the whole week round!
Those who have given up ‘flesh’ in exchange for a healthier and lighter way of living will appreciate what sort of food pyramid I follow.  It’s lettuce, tuna, eggs and bread should be there as well. It is not that I really strictly follow them but fatty and oily stuff is a big NO! Although sometimes I have this appetite and huge craving for junkies out from the fastfood chains, I ensure that those toxins I have taken in must be out the next day.  It’s like I poisoned myself but I don’t wanna suffer from it. I’m really weirdo, lol!

Seriously, I watch what I take in.  If I know I had something by which I was forced to have, I’m immediately up for a detox grab.  Prevention is better than never, lol! Or I might be doing some macgyver stuff to keep the body shaking and sweating. Oops, I know what you’re  thinking but it isn’t like that buddy.  It’s purely wholesome and healthy!

Life is too short, so enjoy while it lasts. Now myself on a boring lifestyle? I don’t think so! (maybe before L ) If you don’t see me running in the field, you might bump me at the bowling alleys or billiard halls, could be at the cha-cha and salsa dance lessons, perhaps? It’s time for a cool, healthier and active lifestyle change!

Women buy stylish shoes of the wrong size

When it's obvious that I am really into fashion (I hope!), in no way I am against of what Veronica Valter posted (see below) from millionlooks.com.  I must agree that in our love for fashion, we should consider not just the stylish looks but the comfortability it brings as well.

Veronica Valter said:

Of course I knew that women’s craziness about shoes can go too far but the fact that 37 per cent of females are ready to buy shoes which don’t fit them made me really surprised.

Shoes are great and they can make you look perfect like all those A-list celebs who wear Louboutins and Manolo Blahniks but is it worth it wearing shoes of the wrong size and fit?

According to statistics four in ten women are ready to purchase and then wear shoes which are not sized for them but are fashionable and look good.

But what was even more amazing is that not only women are ready for such a decision. Over 17 per cent of men also admitted buying shoes in the wrong size.

I guess this fact is closely related to the one revealed by a poll, which claims that 80 per cent of women suffer foot problems such as cracked heels, bunions, corns and ingrowing nails. And four out of ten with a foot problem have never sought medical advice. The survey was done by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

Lorraine Jones, from the society, said:
any of us find it hard to resist a bargain and the latest fashion must-have, but it’s important to remember that by buying ill-fitting shoes, you’re not only going to end up in discomfort, but you are also putting your health at risk.
What is particularly worrying is that this is just the number of people who are aware that they are buying ill-fitting shoes; many people are wearing the wrong sized shoes on a daily basis without even realizing it.’
She added:
That’s not to say we shouldn’t wear fashionable shoes or high heels, but it does mean that we should give our feet a break and see an expert if there is something wrong.’
Well, dear ladies, maybe it’s high time we thought about our feet rather than fashion?

Tea or Coffee?

It's always part of hospitality to offer something to drink to those who pays for a visit at anyone's place.  Hot or cold? Tea or coffee? Doesn't matter, will just depend on the guest's preference plus of course the availability of the drink to offer.

I find it surely, that giving an offer for a drink is a nice gesture to welcome guests.  However, let's admit it, not all is sensitive enough to think that this little kindness depicts our entire personality.  When it is universally known that the initial move of showing hospitality is by offering your guest a drink, it becomes a "MUST"-not-to-forget very first thing to do the moment they knock on your door.

I had the pleasure for the very first time experience to drink chamomile tea with mint offered by my long-time friend  in Dubai two days ago.  Well, it wasn't sort of a welcome gesture to have hospitality get in the picture but to help us ease to sleep as we've been on a state of tipsy-turvy kinda thing from the bottles of Corona and disturbing loud noise at the Pacquio Bar in Rocky's Cafe.  I have thought there's nothing wrong trying it but I was keeping in mind that I should get the soothing and relaxing effect after drinking the chamomile tea.  It might be sort of psychological interruptions (lol) or not, but believe me, it did work fine to me! I was asleep straight for 7 hours which is rare if I had the C with me before the night.

Finding that out, I became greedy and asked my friends to pick few boxes of the chamomile tea to bring with me to Abu Dhabi. Yesterday I had one and slept so peacefully, like no interruptions! And will absolutely have it every night before bedtime.  I fell inlove and that's an immediate feeling.  I can no more sleep without you, My Chamomile Tea ;-)
